1. Who can use ZooActive Drops?ZooActive Drops can be used for all pets and wild animals. They are most frequently used for dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, cattle and birds. ZooActive Drops are also suitable for people.
2. Why ZooActive? Because your pets mean the world to you! Because we know that you and your pets deserve only the best the world has to offer. - Cannabidiol or CBD is the most important active ingredient of cannabis. Our cannabis resin is produced from industrial cannabis grown on a plantation in Germany. It is obtained in a controlled way from hemp buds with a high content of cannabidiol CBD (up to 40%) and with less than 0.1% of the psychoactive substance THC.
- The refined extraction from hemp buds is vital in order to obtain oil of the highest quality with no residual solvents or toxins. The CO2 method, in which high pressures and low temperatures are applied, ensures precise extraction and protection of CBD and other cannabinoids that are important for the body. The result is a pure, strong and natural extract with high bioavailability and absorption. ZooActive CBD resin is diluted with a mixture of coconut, flax and sesame oil owing to the content of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, and it is added with lecithin and vitamin E.
- To meet our high-quality standards, we cooperate with the best-equipped analytical laboratories that test and monitor every phase of our production and the final product. We also cooperate with experts in the veterinary field to ensure that our products are subject to continuous and strict quality assurance by conducting inspections and short-term and long-term stability checks. This ensures the consistency of our products and the GMP status of our production.

6. What makes medical hemp different from marijuana?Hemp and marijuana are both varieties of the same plant, Cannabis sativa. Cannabis is the only plant that contains cannabinoids. Both contain two typical cannabinoids, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabidiol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). The biggest difference is in the content of THC and CBD. Industrial hemp contains high amounts of CBD and less than 0.3% THC in the dry substance. Some authors label THC as a "psychoactive substance” and CBD as a "non-psychoactive substance”. Hence, CBD has psychotropic and neuroprotective effects, but no psychoactive effect. Is the use of industrial hemp (CBD Oil) legal? Yes! In the majority of the USA and throughout Europe, the use of CBD Oil is completely legal if it contains less than 0.3% THC. CBD products are available online, in vet clinics and specialised stores. What are the possible side effects of using CBD Oil for my animal? There are very few side effects and they are practically unnoticed in the majority of patients. CBD is fat-soluble. The body uses as much of it as needed and eliminates the rest through urine. Regardless of the fact that the body can tolerate practically infinite amounts of CBD, the following adverse side effects might occur: - Blocking the metabolism of medicine in the liver: an NCBI study lists some possible adverse effects of cannabidiol, such as blocking the liver metabolism and reduced activity of p-glycoprotein. CBD can actually work hand in hand with a range of pharmaceutical products by blocking the activity of liver enzymes called Citokrom P450. This family of enzymes metabolises the majority of pharmaceutical medicines used for treatment. If patients are taking high dosages of CBD, cannabinoid can temporarily neutralize the activity of P450 enzymes, thereby changing the way medicines are metabolised in the body. If your pet is receiving medicine and you want to use CBD too, you should consult your veterinarian about possible complications relating to reduced activity of P450 enzyme.
- Dry mouth: this is an unpleasant dry feeling in the mouth. Argentinian researchers have proven that cannabinoid receptors (type 1 and 2) are present in the submandibular glands, which are responsible for the production of saliva. Activation of such receptors changes the production of saliva, causing dryness in the mouth. Make sure your pet always has enough water available.
- Low blood pressure: high dosages of CBD Oil can cause a slight drop in blood pressure, usually within a few minutes after entering the system.
- Lightheadedness: this can be caused by a drop of blood pressure that could affect those taking high dosages. This adverse effect of CBD is temporary and can simply be solved by drinking enough water.
- Drowsiness: high dosages of CBD may cause drowsiness.
